Education
We can help young persons who attend publicly funded Ontario schools; this means both public and Catholic schools. As a disciplinary measure, Black students can be subject to suspension or expulsion hearings.
The Clinic can provide:
- summary legal advice
- document preparation
- negotiation and full representation when appealing disciplinary measures
- legal assistance with bullying and harassment, and other administrative issues that may arise during the course of a school year.
The Clinic may assist in matters arising in private schools, subject to eligibility criteria.
The Steps to Justice website offers step-by-step information about education and other common legal problems.
